The adrenaline high from driving this hard to find 5.0 Litre V8 engine Mercedes Benz Coupe CLK 500 Elegance Automatic, 5-speed 306ps, needs no introduction. We have nicknamed it ‘The Beast’!! So powerful – it takes off like a rocket – 0 to 60 mph in 5 seconds with a top speed of 155 mph, and is therefore an absolute pleasure and so exciting to drive. It is a relatively small car to have such powerful engine. My Father who loved Motor Sport bought this Mercedes Benz in 2003 from a large Mercedes Benz dealership in Stratford Upon Avon. It was almost new. It has been in the same family for 21 years. The more recent service history is available.

Cherished Registration Plate 

The cherished registration number plate on this car: 930 PP is not forming part of this sale and is being removed and will be replaced with the original registration plates for this car.

Condition

In overall very good condition given its age. New MOT which is due to expire on18th September 2024. The car has a brand new Mercedes compliant battery. The crank shaft censor has just been replaced. Advised by a Mercedes Specialist that the catalytic converter needs replacing.

Overall the body work is in very good condition – there are some of the usual small spots of rust in various areas and there is some paint loss on the rims of the doors. There are the usual marks and surface scratches consistent with its age and use. There is some darkening to the grey leather seats and side panels due to use. There is a white mark on the back rest of the drivers seat. There is surface leather loss/flaking on the front seat head rests and on the back seats on and around the head rests and the tops of the seats. Some of the plastic features are stained such as the seat handles to move the front seats back. The roof lining is in good order. The footwells all have Mercedes Benz removeable carpets all in very good condition, apart from in the drivers footwell. The electric sunshine roof can be temperamental to close once opened. The air conditioning system is heating but not cooling sufficiently. Please see photographs.
