A beautiful Baccarat luxury “oak leaf” fine crystal pendant necklace, on a “vermeil” or gold plated sterling silver chain c.2010 – made in France. This stunning Baccarat designed necklace with a drop gold plated and sterling silver oak leaf pendant clasping a raspberry coloured fine oval Baccarat crystal. The necklace sits around the base of the neck. This design is not produced now. The recommended retail price for a similar Baccarat pendant necklace is £450.

Baccarat is a famous French heritage luxury brand and manufacturer of fine crystal located in Baccarat, Meurthe-et-Moselle, France. Their Head Office is in Paris and the company was founded in 1764.

It is incredibly special and symbolic that the design includes oak leaves. In England, the oak is a national symbol of strength. Couples were wed under ancient Oaks in Oliver Cromwell’s time. The Oak is the emblem of many environmental groups including the Woodland Trust.

Makers Mark

There is a small gold plated tag on the end of the clasp hanging chain stamped with “Baccarat” on one side and hallmarked “V925” on the other. The V is for Vermeil: a layer of gold bonded to sterling silver.

Condition

This pendant necklace is in an excellent hardly worn condition. It’s rectangular red presentation box is also in perfect condition. There is some flaking and a few dimples on the cream/white interior of the box holding the necklace. The pull tab has split apart slightly. Please see photographs.
